For Spouses:

I have treated you, my spouse, in ungodly ways. 

There are times that I’ve acted selfishly, stubbornly, in self-interest, and with pride…  And I’m sorry for that.

For Parents:

I have treated you, my children, in ungodly ways. 

There are times that I’ve been bullish, arrogant, impatient, and uncaring…   And I am so-sorry for treating you like-that

All Family Members

I confess my sin. 

I repent of my sin. 

I seek God’s forgiveness for my sin. 

I believe that God makes all things new. 

What may appear to be dead or dying or severely injured can be re-made by the grace of God.

I confess my belief in the resurrection power of God ~ who raised Jesus on the third day, so that not-even death could       contain Him. 

This resurrection power is at work in me and my family ~ breathing new life into dead feelings, unplugged emotions, and failed commitments.

I confess my desire to act in faith…  to be courageous…  to fight the enemy’s attacks on my family ~ the people I love most, in this world..

For Spouses

I confess my commitment publicly ~ before God and my brothers and sisters in Christ ~ that I will follow the Scriptures and obey God’s Word.  I will submit to my spouse out of reverence for Christ.  I will seek his/her good.  I will lift him/her up and encourage him/her in his/her walk with God.  I will love him/her in such a way that God’s love is reflected in my attitudes and actions.  I aim to make our relationship a mirror reflection of God’s love so that God’s glory blazes-brightly through our family-life!
